LONDON TOWN BABY!

After spending a week in Prague and Paris I was relieved to spend the last leg of our trip in London. I was exhausted from spending a week trying to translate both languages.  It was wonderful to be able to look at a sign and actually be able to read it, ask someone for directions and be able to understand what they are saying, and actually knowing what I was ordering on the menu.

We caught the Eurostar from Paris to London.  The train took about 2.5 hours which I found more convenient and affordable than flying from Paris to London.  We stayed at The Park Lane Hotel in Hyde Park and public transportation was easily accessible to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circle, Birmingham Bridge, and the British Museum.  

London's culture is very similar to America's culture which was a welcome relief at the end of my trip but is not a place I would put on my top return travel destinations or even on there at all.  Don't get me wrong, London is beautiful but it is expensive and so similar to the US.  If I had a limited travel budget and limited time, I would not choose London as a must see.
