GOLDEN PRAGUE

Two and half years ago I promised a good friend that when he finished his volunteer project in Macedonia with the Peace Corp, that I would meet him anywhere he wanted in Europe.  He decided we should meet in London and travel to Paris and Venice.  Having already visited to both Paris and Venice I suggested Prague instead of Venice.  He grudgingly decided to give Prague a chance.

As I drove from Valclav Havet Airport to Hotel Astoria in Old Town I was enchanted.  Prague was like a Gothic-Renaissance-Romantic era novel come to life.  Prague was the hero and I was going to be his heroine.  I would spend hours allowing myself to get lost in the rustic cobblestone streets mesmorized by the stunning architecture.  36- Jet lag hours was not enough time to be romanced by Prague.  I cannot wait to return to Prague to explore our love affair further.
